Me too. I have never seen the shutter lag comparative measurements. Mine is long. I find that to get my grandson on the swing I have to aim at the middle of the swing and "shoot" at the top of the swing. Most of the time I get him but only about 1 in 4 are really good. The reviews say that the Minolta Z-1 is better. You can prefocus by holding the shutter 1/2 way down before shooting. The benefit of the digital camera is that you can instantly see a poor picture and take it again most of the time.
Are there any digital cams, (affordable), that can snap an action picture promptly when the button is pushed?? Yes, I know about the multiple sequence photography but, short of that, I haven't seen or heard of a cam that can snap a pic in less than a second after the button is pushed!
