I've watched many try to use Act and other contact managers in a shared environment. While my experience is with prior versions I'll warn you to get your refund policy in writing if they have not solved the old issues. We watched this and others crash the database requiring restore from backups and for every user to logout and back in. Unless you build this on top of some sturdy SQL (like MySQL) and rock solid server I'll say you may get to repeat history.

I'm currently helping my company import all our contacts into an ACT! 2006 database. At the moment, the computer I'm using is the only one with the software installed. I would like to share the main database I've created with everyone else in the company. Is it worth creating remote databases for everyone, putting them on a shared drve, and ultimately synchronizing it with the main database? If so, does everyone have to have ACT! 2006 installed on their computers as well? Thanks!
