One big thing is probably the power of your computer. What are its specs?

how do i expand the time line? this is a brand new computer...pentium d processor, 200GB Hard drive , 1024 MB memory.. is that good enough, or do i need something faster?

In reply to: how?

scroll wheel or by clicking on magnify/minimize icons.

How fast is the processor on this computer, and what else is running when you are using Acid? How many tracks? You mention just two tracks. If it bogs down on two tracks, something else is running which is chewing up your cpu.
