Acess Denied - Please help! ;(

Hi everyone ! This is my first post here, hopefully someone will be able to help me out!

Ok, here's the situation: I had a folder named AraVideos ( only .avi files, approx. 900 Mb total ) and while I was trying to move it, I accidently moved it into a folder which I believe to be a System folder once it`s named "851dc3dd75c2ff323767b0365ced".

Well, first thing I did was of course move it back BUT I was unable to do so. I got an "Acess Denied" error message...I tried rebooting Windows but still no sucess. Then, I searched for some help online and I came across a thread from this guys who happened to have the same problem and he could easily fix it by just restoring his computer to an earlier restore point.

I did that and when I finally browsed my files the folder was back in its original place ! I was sooooo happy but then, to my surprise, all the files come out as INVALID if I try to play them ( though I acess them normally and even check its properties, size, etc... )

In a nutshell, my problem still haven`t been solved...I really wouldn`t mind at all "losing" these files if it were not for only one reason: they're all videos I recorded on Xmas Day and New Year`s Eve =(

I hope someone will be able to help me out with this !

THanks a lot !

Hi A Lima.

You can try taking 'Ownership' of the folder. By loging on in save mode and changing the security permissions.

Thank you SOOOOOOOOOO MUCH ! It did work, finally !!! =)

But can anyone on Earth please tell me why the heck this happened? I mean, I`ve been using Windows since version 3.1 and trust me, I had never seen that error before....and why did it happen when ALL I DID was move the folder to another one ?? Weird, huh ?

Anyways, thanks again for your prompt and helpful reply =)

Cheers!
