And Lenovo often uses PWM on the displays which may flicker under some condition.
I'm leaning to the SSD equipped Ace fro this round.
The laptops are:
Their prices in USD is 660$.
From my view the situation stands like this:
The Lenovo looks better, and it has a slightly more powerful quad core CPU, being a better CPU for multitasking compared to the acer's dual core CPU, but it also drains more energy. (45W vs 15W maximum power on the CPU).
The Acer's 6 cells battery (62Whr) is far more better than the Lenovo 4 cells battery(45Whr).
The acer's GPU is GDDR5 compared to the worser version on the lenovo, DDR3 (there is ~15-20% performance difference)
Storage-wise, the lenovo comes equipped with a 1TB 5400 rpm vs the 256gb SSD on the acer.
Speaking of the screen, the acer has a full hd TN display, vs the lenovo's IPS full hd display.
As of what i will be doing with the laptop, it is a family laptop where there will also be played games on it, and it will mostly stay inside the house.
