Acer notebook

I'm buying a laptop for some contract programming work, my office will pay half if I get an Acer. What is a good one to go with??? How does the AMD Turion? 64 Mobile Technology ML-30 compare with the centrino 750. Could someone help me with the pros and cons of each???
