Question

Acer Mini laptop With windows XP install ?

Sep 25, 2018 1:53PM PDT

Hello everyone
I am using my only laptop which is Acer.
The laptop is using older Windows XP already but I want to reinstall a newer version of Windows or the same windows XP?
The issue with laptop is it does not have a DVD or cr player.
It uses USB flash ports for any install to work???
But I have original windows XP & Windows 7 CDs.
I want to fresh install the windows on this laptop?
Is there a way to copy DVD windows XP on to USB flash than boot it from laptop to trigger the installation process if so how ? Thanks

Backup all your files. Restart your computer, and keep key down to enter BIOS. Now, Search the BIOS for boot device and Change it to your cd rom drive. It will restart and the cd will load. After that Press r for recovery console/repair. Then Choose Windows installation.
Type cd C:\ and then press enter
by format C:\ /FS: FAT32 /Q or format C:\ /FS:FAT32 /Q
If you get a confirmation when you formatted the drive.
You can check it by typing cd C:\ and then type dir. If there are no files then it's clean.
Type exit or just restart.
Wait for windows to load setup.
