Acer Iconia / Thunderbird E-mail

Acer Iconia Tablet Model A110 OS: Jellybean Android Ver. 4.1.2

I am unable to set up Thunderbird Email. Each time I try, it refuses to except my password and/or my email address. Is there a conflict here w/ T-bird and Android? Not a problem w/ G-mail. It works fine.
