Feb 11, 2012 10:50PM PST

I have a "5538G Aspire"..
<div>the fan

recently started to make some noise an it gets loader every while..</div>it lasts for about 4 seconds when I power up then it's quiet..
till my vista starts up and I start doing my stuff..
the noise starts back and lasts for about 10-15 minutes, that's it..
but it's really really annoying
I tried to clean it up but the noise starts again in a day or less.. any Idea???
thanks

This one is simple.

You need a new fan.

Now the next decision is whether you'll do this yourself.

thanks for answering, Bob

Is this for sure?? I just need an explanation because it never affected the performance of my device

and yes, I think I can do it myself if this is the only option I have

It's a common part that does what you wrote.

And even with it making those noises sometimes never affects the performance.

HOWEVER. Since heat is always bad for laptops and this has to do with the cooling it seems a shame to risk a machine having problems over why might be a 20 buck part.
