Do you do your own repairs? Sounds like the cable or LCD. Check around ebay for parts. No, there is no way to tell you if this is just the cable, connection, LCD or motherboard given the clues. My advice is to start with the cheapest part first.

My Acer Aspire One netbook Boots Ok untill Windows starts to load. Then the image on the screen is way off center, only half off the image shows. There is np way to recover except by shuttong down and re-starting. Sometimes it taked several tries. This does not happen every time on startup. I can avoid the this problem by barely opening the lid, obly far enough to get my finger in to pust the power button and it never happens then.
I have powered up this way for two months and never have a problem, so I know this prevents it. A cuple of times during this two minths nmy wife has fully oipened the lid and pressed the power button and the problem shows up again. So I know it has somehting to do with the lid.
This never happed utill a computer show cganged the keybopard, so i suspect they broke something. What do you think?
