1. That product key is likely for Office. You can follow the prompts and buy such.
2. I have a few machines now with 2GB and various versions of 7. No site I read writes it needs 8GB. In fact, why upgrade?
So I have a brand new Acer Aspire One with windows 7 and I was going to be using it for power points and word documents but it says i have to have a product key (which I dont have) and I want to get windows 7 home basic but this netbook only comes with 2 GB internal ram. Windows 7 home basic needs atleast 8. Does this mean i have to get a memory upgrade so I can later download windows 7 home basic? Open to all suggestions, thanks.
