Since almost all functions are on one board today that's the prime suspect. Yes you find bad jacks once in a while but if the client won't believe it's the main board you have to return the machine and let them find another shop.
Hello there,
A few years ago I bought an Acer Aspire 5742, two days ago it refused to boot it won' t even go to the POST, I can see the power is working so I don't think the motherboard is defect. Because the power button didn't show any signs of life I used a multimeter to check if it was still working, it wasn' t so I replaced it.
But my laptop still isn't working, I already tried to update the bios it does nothing when you hold Fn and Esc and then try to power on.
Any ideas to fix this problem?
Thanks in advanced,
Stino
