My Acer Aspire 1 laptop, which runs on Windows 10 (also which I haven't started until now), does not connect to my home's Wi-Fi. I put in the password for the Wi-Fi, it tries to connect, the window closes momentarily before appearing again with the unfortunate message of "Can't Connect to This Network." How do I get it to connect to my Wi-Fi?

I usually connect with Ethernet to see if that works. Then I use the maker's site to get the WiFi driver but before that I have to make sure the owner isn't in airplane mode. I'll reboot and then put it into airplane mode and then back to normal. Along the way I'll be sure the date and time is correct, Timezone is set and then to Ethernet to install the WiFi drivers.
