Acer AL2216Wbd 22" LCD Monitor question?

HI,
I've been looking around for a good LCD monitor and finally i found the Acer AL2216Wbd with a very good price and i decided to purchase it from amazon.com im currently in the USA but i plan to take it back to my home country Egypt and use it there but I've been told from one of my friends that it may not work in Egypt because of the variations in the electricity voltage and frequency between Egypt and USA in Egypt we've a voltage of 220V and frequency of 50HZ and the plugs are different from that of the US but this is not a problem I'll just buy an adapter. so my question is can anybody tell me if this monitor gonna work in Egypt or not? and if yes are there any risks of damage or something due to high voltage in Egypt if i used it there? and finally what do you think of that monitor?
