Acer 24"Monitor not filling Screen

by timwalker69 / August 1, 2010 2:59 PM PDT

All but about 1" all way around. Acer docs pretty pathetic. Checked control panel and seems all ok there. Running Win 7 64 bit Home Edition. Monitor is S243H from Acer.

A Couple Of Thoughts
by Grif Thomas Forum moderator / August 2, 2010 3:48 AM PDT

1. If you haven't already, please adjust the screen resolution to the native resolution for your monitor. (It should be 1920 X 1200)

2. If that doesn't fix it, then visit your graphics card's website, then download and install the latest driver for your video card.

Hope this helps.

1920 x 1080 is highest it gives me an option for. Should there be a 1980x1200?

I couldn't locate this model but the fact your video card didn't produce the full resolution has got to be "it."

I plugged in my old computer and it filled the screen top and bottom but not on sides. I have contacted Radeon (AMD) with the problem, awaiting answer. Thanks for all of the help.

The Samsung RF23M8090SG

One of the best French door fridges we've tested

A good-looking fridge with useful features like an auto-filling water pitcher and a temperature-adjustable "FlexZone" drawer. It was a near-flawless performer in our cooling tests.
