I wonder what perspective you have on this. You may get more bears with honey than with vinegar (wait, how does that saying go?) In short, posting about this may let you vent but given the short time the company has had to think about the upgrade path and maybe 2.0 was out when 1.9 was, maybe there's more to this story.

Buyer beware: ACDSee, a program that is used by amateurs and professionals alike, just dumps its loyal customers over the Mountain Lion compatibility. Although they still sell it over the App Store, the product is incompatible. Even worse, this incompatible version 2.0 of ACDSee is on the market since a few months only. The ACDSee customers who bought version 1.9 well into 2012 for 115 $ are left in the cold as ACDSee refuses to make the program compatible with Mountain Lion for them. These customers are told to upgrade to 2.0 for 79 $ first or remain incompatible.
This is the most flagrant abuse of a Mac OS upgrade by a software provider that I have ever seen.
