Question

Accounting Software Setup

Jul 6, 2013 4:33AM PDT

I have a small retail store and I downloaded GnuCash and TurboCASH for my accounting but i dont know how to use them or how to set them up. I have searched online for guides but none are step by step straight forward for a regular retail store. Rite now i am doing my accounting in regular excel sheets with a daily shift end sheet, purchases, Inventory, Expenses, Coupons, Buy Down Rebates, Money Order, Credit Debit, Lotto, etc. Which is the best software between GnuCash and TurboCASH and how do i go about setting them up. I have tried the setup wizard but i could not follow because once i set up the company, i dont know where to start. Please help!!

Did you ever take a course in accounting? I find many folk dive into accounting without any courses or books and they might post like you did.
