General discussion

According to DJT

Jun 21, 2019 6:40AM PDT
We were cocked & loaded to retaliate last night on 3 different sights when I asked, how many will die. 150 people, sir, was the answer from a General. 10 minutes before the strike I stopped it,

IF the number of casualties was so important,,,,,it should have been the VERY first question HE asked when making the decision in the first place.

I'm saying he's lying, about WHY the mission was cancelled...IF it was even on.

The Kaiser swept through "neutral" Belgium to start his.

This one should be easy*. Iran's ready to go. They use children to carry C4 into targets; anything for Allah. 'Ready, boss. By the way, what's a virgin?'
And, unlike Xi, the Persians have some sort of election process; tends to make leaders nervous when things don't go well.

You're looking at millions of years of evolution in action. Enjoy while you can.

* To start. I prophesy nothing about the finish. The US' targets are downtown Teheran and such. Their targets are ... Say, where do you live, anyway?

I think he made the right decision. Neither you nor I were privy to discussions between the US president, military advisers and/or his own staff so to make any presumptions would be unwise as we don't know the details of what options were considered and the ramifications of them. To me, it would make perfect sense to consider it better to target weaponry rather the humans behind it. I'd applaud our president for his decision rather than try to search for some reason to be critical of thought processes we know nothing about.

As well, and FWIW, I've often accused you of stalking and sniping. Now's your chance to prove me wrong.

Do you think I am making a "presumption" when I question,

WHY DJT waited until 10 minutes before the mission was ready for takeoff to abort?

IF you were POTUS....would you ask that question?......Number of Casualties?........WHEN?

When it comes to presumptions, I'm not alone

Word on the street is, Tucker Carlson has his fingers in the pie.

RE: I've often accused you of stalking and sniping. Now's your chance to prove me wrong.

How do I do that?,,,,,Wait 3 days and THEN respond to your post....like you did like you did to mine?

Don't read my response and you'll never know I responded(stalked and sniped)?

You just proved my point. That presumption is only valid if I knew your post was there. I'd indicated that presumptions without knowing details are unwise. The fact is that I was away for a while and did not know the thread even existed. I was in a "technology lite" area at the time and SE was the least important thing on the agenda. I was aware of the Iran news and found it comforting to hear the reason our president didn't pull the trigger...that human life mattered more than vengeance...even the lives of supposed enemies. To me, that was a good thing. Of course, if my hatred of the man was strong enough, I could always presume that his actions were not out of compassion but due to expedience.

Pulling the trigger without knowing the facts or consequences isn't, IMO, a good thing. That includes the trigger that releases what comes from our mouths (or fingers).

You didn't find it even a little bit disturbing that he stated(not a presumption on my part) he waited until the planes were cocked & loaded to retaliate before HE even thought to ask how many lives would be lost(HIS CLAIM/TWEET)?

RE:Pulling the trigger without knowing the facts or consequences isn't, IMO, a good thing.

That's all you'll say about the way DJT makes a decision?

You won't comment on the fact HE claimed HE didn't even think to ask about the number of casualties, when reaching a decision?

You won't say anything against DJT, just that you're glad he did what you consider to be the right thing in the end?

Many sources i've seen state that the number of casualties/deaths is part of the regular briefing when strikes are discussed, giving less credence to the claims made by DJT being the one to initiate talk of # of deaths.

Now that you are no longer in a "technology lite" area perhaps you could get up to speed and see exactly who DJT is.

You are making an assumption

regarding the daily briefing in that the actual number of deaths remained the same later in the day. For all any of us know, he could have gotten a much lower number the first time because only Iranian military people were at the target area....but given all day long to get prepared by US also gave Iran the time to get women and children into that area which made the number go up substantially. Whacked terrorists are notorious for using civilians as shields, or have you forgotten that?

It would be nice if YOU could actually begin to see exactly who Trump is instead of always assuming the worst right off the bat; however, since you can't give him credit for anything good, that's probably too much to ask for even a slight amount of fairness.

RE:cages that Trump re-used?
Jun 25, 2019 6:52PM PDT

IT'S NOT THE "CAGE"....IT'S HOW THEY ARE BEING RE-USED. (and for how long)

Last year, the Trump administration announced a “zero tolerance” border policy that resulted in children being separated from their parents who were detained for entering the U.S. illegally.

We first wrote about the Trump administration policy when the president falsely claimed, “We have to break up families” because of “bad laws that the Democrats gave us.” We wrote about it again when administration officials started defending the policy by making the misleading argument that Obama and President George W. Bush did the same.

over=filled with children separated from their family, over-crowed, and unsanitary conditions.

AND kept for extended periods of time beyond what is presently permitted by by law.

THAT's THE RUB.

Here is the biggest problem or difficulty (with the situation being discussed). The phrase was famously used in Shakespeare's Hamlet (as "there's the rub")

- Collapse -
No...the RUB is that
Jun 26, 2019 4:01AM PDT

liberals are ok with not providing beds and humane conditions funding because it means the children will be released sooner under 'catch and release', with NO guarantee that the 'family' getting the children IS family. Liberals are literally turning into becoming the last leg in the road of human trafficking because they won't allow the government the time to run background or DNA checks before giving kids to virtual unknown factors, and they are shamelessly ok with that.

I've seen lots of interviews where border agents have literally been giving these kids toys and clothing that are hand-me-downs from their own kids. Wayfair was just given a $200K order for additional beds because there aren't enough for how many kids keep coming here and their stupid, ignorant employees are striking in order to stop Wayfair from filling that order. They would rather see those kids stay in discomfort than actually help. How sick is that?

Our justice system separates families every single day when parents go to jail for breaking the law and nobody gives a crap about it. Let somebody from another country break our laws and it's a war cry from liberals now. BO didn't start catch and release until later in his second term because illegal 'families' were pouring across the border in droves and HE couldn't keep up with them either, and HE kept the kids separated in 'cages' that HE had built until the Flores Act stated that he couldn't hold them longer than 20 days. Those cages were never built to hold more than 40-50 at a time and they are now being forced to holding 300 at a time. If they are put instead into an unused military barracks, you people bi.ch and moan, if they are left in BO's cage, you bi.ch and moan.

Dems are putting themselves into their own hell box by NOT doing anything.....and their reasons for inaction are becoming more and more clear every day. It's now gotten to the point that even in the polls they are losing this argument because illegal immigration has hit the number one spot in the polls as the biggest voting issue now. They are shooting themselves in the head....which might be a good thing because maybe THIS time, they will actually SEE the bullet that kills them.

You're facts are one sided and biased, as usual.

with NO guarantee that the 'family' getting the children IS family.

Do they have to be "family" to be a caring "human being"? Ever hear of adoption?

I suppose you are saying IF they aren't "family" they are "gang"?

I think the children will more than likely receive better care than they are receiving at the present time from DJT. It can't be much worse. Unless they are laying face down on the bank of the Rio Grande with one arm around their fathers neck.
- Collapse -
Yes, they have to be family
Jun 26, 2019 10:23AM PDT

BUT anybody who CLAIMS to be family is given the child because we aren't allowed to hold them long enough to prove it so they just go their merry way with child in hand....to whatever fate befalls that child. Those kids with no family to claim them end up in some type of foster care until their case comes up and they are sent back to their home of origin so what good comes of any of it? So that better care you speak of is temporary at best.....and being in the detention centers IS actually better care than what they usually left because they are getting food, shelter, a bed of sorts, medical, dental, eye glasses, etc. and being treated for illnesses and diseases they brought with them.

As for laying face down......blame the dead father for that one....NOT Trump. HE didn't open the gates of hell, BO and Dems did by literally ADVERTISING that the door was open, even if it means not mention the horrible consequences if they don't make it. Bodies are found in the desert every day, including children ALONE.

Your 'compassion' is non-existent because you are OK with them making that trek....often with horrible results. And our liberals/Dems here are just as OK with it.

RE:Yes, they have to be family
Jun 26, 2019 11:45AM PDT

The question was

Do they have to be "family" to be a caring "human being"?

A 2 part question....You don't get to answer part of the question.......

Do YOU care about a child that belongs to someone else that is NOT family?

Could someone, other than you, care for a child that wasn't "family"?

How is that possible?

- Collapse -
You are equating 'caring'
Jun 26, 2019 4:06PM PDT

to 'ownership'............since no vetting gets done because of a time constraint tat Dems don't want changed, what might appear to be a 'caring' family member coming for the kid doesn't make it true. Which was the SECOND part of your question that I DID answer. You just don't pay close attention lately for some reason.....by choice so you can try to nitpick or are you off your meds again?

Why the question of "other than me"? Even if I wanted to take a child in, I wouldn't be able to unless I claim I am a relative of some sort. Children here ALONE and UNCLAIMED get put into a State facility until relatives from their home country are located and the child is sent back.

You wouldn't be concerned they might be a gang member?

Or maybe a potential/future rapist, drug dealer or murderer?

Who knows what they will be when they get older.

IF you have a point to make about deporting because laws are being broken by people who risk the lives of themselves AND their children, supposedly because the rule of law broke down in their OWN countries, let me know. Just stop trying to pin this crap on Trump. Remember that Reagan got suckered by the Dems into giving amnesty to over 4M illegals in a deal Dems reneged on as soon as the ink was dry on his signature. That amnesty opened the door for 20+M MORE to show up since then with no end in sight.

Like I actually said, that HE actually said.

Trump defends Mexican rapists claim during conspiracy-laden speech

He also harped on the danger posed by illegal immigration and by the “caravan” of refugees travelling to the US from Central America in an effort to seek asylum.

“Women are raped at levels that have never been seen before,” Trump claimed of the caravan as he referenced his infamous 2015 remarks when he launched his presidential campaign that Mexico was deliberately sending murderers and rapists into the US. “Everybody said, oh, he was so tough. I used the word rape,” said Trump, as he reflected on his comments then.
