I worry here.

That LG is treating the TV as a TV. That is, I'm finding that we have to factory reset because the code in the Smart TV areas are incomplete. That is, no menu to undo a choice.

LG john lewis.

LG. I was on the phone again to LG.
John Lewis sent a trouble shooter out. He told me the tv was faulty so I phoned john Lewis they told to me to phone LG as it only 6 months old. they told me eBay must have updated there browser and my tv was not compatible with my browser. THIS IS THE EMAIL MESSAGE LG SENT ME.
As per our conversation, I must advise that the queries for your web browser would not be considered a fault by us. This is due to the error messages coming up stating the flash player is not supported. With our TV’s, we do put a default player on for the browser, which is HTML5. This does not change and cannot be updated, due to other updates for flash players or similar, being made for PC’s and not TV’s. due to the fact the browser does indeed function apart from specific parts and sites in which an updated flash player is required, we are unable to assist with this sir.
thanks mark.

Wow. Talk about missing the mark.

You asked about cookies and this talks about Flash and HTML5.

Maybe you wanted to ask the (very repeated) question about Flash and video in these (dumb) TV browsers? If so, ask. My answer hasn't changed in years.

THANK YOU

It seems to me as though I have to put up and shut up as the reset doesn't resolve the problem when signing into eBay. As the tv doesn't have a browser full reset just a basic reset. I am not a technical person etc .
But I do thank you for your answers and kindly taking the time to answer me.
thank you mark.

I have yet to find Smart TV browsers to be capable.

They are useful and then maybe not. By reset I mean the Factory Reset of the TV so it's as if it's a new TV.
