Resolved Question

Accidentally made my laptop incompatible with my wifi

Feb 22, 2016 4:33PM PST

I have a virginmedia SuperHub and I went went to my router settings to try and improve my wifi's performance but I ended up making my laptop incompatible with my router. My phone and my dads tablet are fine but my laptop is the only PC in my house so I can't use another to change the router settings back. I've tried using an Ethernet lead but it wouldn't work. Is there anything I can try?

I wonder what you did, and I wonder why your laptop won't connect via an Ethernet cable either.

Things to try:
- another laptop (invite a friend or family member for a good meal and ask him to take his laptop with him)
- reset the router to defaults (see the manual)
