Accessing MSWorks word processor

Oct 15, 2004 1:09PM PDT

In MSWorks v 7.0, how does one access the Works word processor rather than MSWord? I would like the Works word processor to be my default word processor.

At some version I saw Microsoft remove the old one and just ship Word. It was a simple issue that they had two software development teams and could collapse one.

If you want to use Works, open the program. Go to start, all programs then Microsoft Works. I'm not sure what you mean about setting it to be your default word processor. Just use it and the documents will be saved as works documents. When you open those documents, it will automatically start that program.
