video jack on the busted machine. Then a network cable to get those files off. Programs don't migrate, they get reinstalled.
I replaced my laptop (with a Dell Inspiron 5100) because my old Compaq 1200 had a run-in with an ink pen when I tried to close it. The screen will not show a thing except a very vivid abstract piece of LCD art. Does anyone have a clue on how to get old programs and files off a laptop without a screen? I have Windows 98 on the old one and XP on the new.
