Access is Denied when starting CDROM

Error message "Access is Denied" when I attempt to run a textbook's CD ROM on my Dell laptop. I running Windows Vista. Anybody have any suggestions?

So...Do Other Discs Work On That Same Drive??

If so, then the CD may be bad. Then again, are you trying to "install" something from the CD? Have you tried enabling or disabling "User Account Control"? Tried RIGHT clicking, choose "Run as administrator"?
