Attrib is your basic DOS permissions and now with NTFS you have to dive into ACL (access control lists) and more.
So before you start changing ownership, be sure you know that changing some files can break Windows. Let's hear a specific item you want to change.
Hi there,
I am having trouble viewing files that I previously (and purposely) hid with attrib functions in the command prompt. All I ever did was "attrib -s -h /s /d" and "attrib +s +h /s /d. but now whenever I try to use cmd prompt to attrib anything the entire list says Access Denied. Have tried so many things. Please help.
