I'm building a multi-lingual Access 2002 application that uses a number of lookup tables to populate combo boxes on forms in the user's language. The bound data is always an integer value that serves as the key to the lookup table, while the value displayed is some text value in a variety of different languages.
When I try to use Filter by Form, selecting a value from one of the combo boxes results in the system trying to build the filter with the text value from the combo box rather than the bound data value; as a result I get a "Type Mismatch" error. I need to search the underlying table based on the integer value rather than the string displayed in the combo box.
Is there any way to get this to work properly?
