I have both Access 2000 and Access XP installed on my Windows 2000 computer at work. Lately (and I can't think of any recent changes to my system), I've been having a problem when using the Import Spreadsheet Wizard to bring an Excel spreadsheet into Access. All is fine until I get to the "Field Options" screen. If I select a field other than the first field in the spreadsheet, the field highlights normally but the "Field Name" is not changed to the newly highlighted field and I cannot modify the properties of that field. Let's say my spreadsheet has 10 columns and they're labeled "Column 1," etc. Any changes I try to make affect only Column 1 no matter what field I have selected in the bottom portion of that screen.
I've confirmed that the problem occurs in both versions of Access. I've had both versions installed for around two years and this problem only started happening a month or so ago.
