Hardly a challenge here. All very standard use of foreign keys (in the data model) and a combobox based on a table with valid entries (in the implementation model).
Time to do some study in data modelling?
Here's a problem I'm trying to solve. Any help will be much appreciate. Here goes;
I want to have a table which lists (for the sake of argument) famous paintings. One of the fields is for location-eg. 'Louvre, Paris'.
this field will have a lot of replicated data-ie, multiple entrys for 'louvre', 'national gallery, London' etc, and it is obviously important that these entrys are always identical. ie. 'Louvre, Paris' and never 'louvre' or 'louvre, France' etc.
So I want somekind of validation or mask which will complete the data automatically if I type in 'lou-' or 'nat' etc. Such a thing you get in excel, but I don't know if you get it in Access?
thanks in advance.
