AC adapter for Netgear WGU624

Aug 16, 2005 9:57PM PDT

I just bought a WGU624 adapter from justdeals.com, & just realized it does not come with an ac adapter. The specs call for a 5V 2.8A adapter, but I can not find one anywhere. I a found 5V one but the amps are 2.5. Does anyone have any ideas besides to punt ?

Thanks, Ed

first try the 2.5a transformer, as Bob sez, it's pretty close and it may work. If it doesn't, choose the next larger amperage. The 5V is critical to match, but if the amperage is a little higher than spec, all that means is the transformer could provide more amperage without catching fire if the connected device required it.In the end, the transformer will actually provide only the amperage being drawn by the device.
