Rio Carbon

I have had one for about a month now. I love it. It works well, transfers pretty fast with USB 2.0 and holds a lot of music or audible.com books.
The case included isn't great as you know, but it can be modified by cutting out the front to access the controls and you can add a belt clip to the back. You can also purchase a Vaja case which looks great but is about $60.

I love my RIO Carbon. Got it for Christmas and have been very happy with it. Music transfers from Music Match and Win MP as well as the packaged software

How long does it take to start up when you have filled the disk? I have a 20 GB player with about 18GB of music and it takes around 30 seconds before I can hear any music after turning the machine on.

Startup time on Carbon

It seems to take about 5-10 seconds to startup regardless of being full or empty. It is a harddrive and needs to spin up. It doesn't take much longer than my old Rio flash player.
