Well, first of all, as soon as 11.10 rolls out, when you click update in the update manager, it will update to 11.10. Second, there's not a lot the would really need customization....except pinning to the launcher, ect. It also depends on what you are doing. This link is good for just some tips and tricks....Unity takes about a week to get used to, and I'm speaking from experience. It was quite a surprise when I woke up in May to find Unity...Lol.
I am attempting to learn the present Ubuntu 11.04 (which I installed from
a purchased CD). I understand that the new version Ubuntu 11.10 is'
scheduled for release on 10/13. Will it be included as an 'Update' (I hope)
or will it be something I will have to manually download and install (or
purchase a CD for it)?
Also - are there any good free online guides for customizing 'Ubuntu Unity' (I am using Ubuntu Classic because Unity was too different)???? I
understand that Unity will be the default desktop.
Thank you for any help you can give to this total newbie.
