About the system details tool?

Hi All,Can Any one suggest me a tool(open source) to know about which versions of the applications installed in the system( example ineed to to find the java version, my sql version, Os details so on...)Is there any open source for this.Please please please suggest me

will give you the versions of programs installed.

The OS version is in the screen shown by msinfo32. For SQL (which SQL?) the GUI might have a Help>About or something like that. That's quite common in Windows application; for example, both Firefox and I have it.
