I have a Dell and I dual-booted Windows XP MCE and Windows 7 RC, as well as Ubuntu Linux (on my external hard drive). Can I upgrade to Windows 7 on either partition using the upgrade disk Student Version I am thinking about purchasing ($30). Is it worth upgrading to? I use the Windows 7 partition a lot for my engineering software and Windows Journal for my external tablet. Will I still be able to mount the Windows 7 partition after my Windows 7 RC trial ends? Lastly, is there a clean install option when I install Windows 7 if I purchase the student upgrade edition from Microsoft? Thanks for your help.
Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly
Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
