RSS Visualizer
by mrmacfixit Forum moderator / November 10, 2005 8:01 AM PST

Hey, isn't that neat!

When I click on the Options icon I get a choice of all the RSS feeds (urls) that are currently in Safari.
IF you have RSS feeds turned OFF in Safari, you may not get any in the options pane.
Testing now. Don't go away.
OK, I'm back. Changing out the default reader in Safari did not make any difference to the Options tab. All the RSS feed URL's are still there, even when the calculator is the default RSS reader!
Can you see RSS within Safari??

Oh, by the way

you have to be on-line to receive the feeds. Wonder if that has any bearing on your problem?

yes, am the same as the original poster! I had forgotten the password for the original login id , so opened a new id.

anyways, so i went to cnn or bbc site, there clicked on the rss/xml link.
In some sites one gets a choice for RSS politics or sports news and so on.
Next you bookmark the particular url...its usually starts as 'feed:......'
Close safari browser.
Open the system preferences and under screensaver, select RSS visualizer and click on options, the cnn rss will automatically show up in the options.

mrmacfixit..u made my day ;-D....i cannot beleive you asked ''how i did it''

Seriously, you are the best!
Thanks for all the selfless help that u offer on this forum, which is so very useful for all the mac fans, switchers, etc.

When i open screensaver rss visualizer options,
there is a list of feeds, one is even from my mail. how did that get in there?
There are several rss feeds under safari, one being Apple Hot News, which I do not want.

RSS feeds,
by mrmacfixit Forum moderator / September 19, 2010 7:08 AM PDT

With Safari running, go to the Bookmarks menu item and choose "show all bookmarks".
In the left hand column choose RSS Feeds
In the main pane you will see all the RSS feeds that are currently in Safari.

Highlight the ones you want to get rid of and hit the delete button.

That's it
