Question

About logging into a Windows 7 laptop has password protected

Sep 17, 2014 6:23PM PDT

Hi everyone,
My friend told me that he witnessed his colleague used an usb flash drive to log into his laptop without reset account password. After windows finished start up, he saw his desktop environment, he tried to open ms outlook account, everything just like he log in using his credential.
I don't believe it but he assures that he saw with his own eyes. I think the only way to get into windows without knowing passwod is to erase or reset password using HirenBoot or something like that. Can't just bypass the protection of password.
So the question is: is it possible to log in without reset or erase user's password?
Thank you.
PS: All local accounts are set password.

Thank you. But I think when using Windows to go, account should be different from local account of Windows 7 OS.
