While its your LCD to clean, you should consider the results if that fails. When it comes to LCD and the "covering" or protective layer if present or anything for that matter can be compromised. I've always used warm(tepid) water with a clean well worn T-shirt cloth swatch. I damp the cloth and wipe down. The cost of a cleaning solution made for LCD isn't that great compared to a failed LCD replacement or marred one. Yes, I know w.vinger is used on many things to clean even with a splash of Dawn cleanser.
