About Emodio

Aug 4, 2009 1:27PM PDT

Can anyone help me out? Whenever I try to open Emodio, it shows its loading screen, stays there for a few seconds, then disappears and nothing happens. Emodio seems to work on other computers properly. Is it because of my computer or have I dont something wrong?

My computer runs on Windows Vista. I got my Emodio installers from Samsung's website and from an installation CD which came with my mp3 player. I hope you guys can help me out.

Thanks,
Steven

(if i understood you correctly) i downloaded emodio from the samsung web site. i'm using windows vista as well, so i'm not experiencing any sort of crashes or shutdowns with emodio. which mp3 player are you using ?

YP-Q1 ... It's not a crash or shutdown, it's just that the program just wouldn't open.

steven_g21,

my mp3 player is the Yp-P3 (Samsung P3). sorry to hear about the problem you're having with the emodio software. i'm assuming you've tried to uninstall, then reinstall ? i haven't experiencing that particular problem, so hopefully someone else in the forum may be able to assist you. have to tried samsung tech support ?

Well,

Yeah I tried installing and uninstalling both the installers from the website and from the installation CD. I have also tried contacting Samsung through e-mail. All they said is I should have WMP 10 or WMP 11 installed on my computer. I don't know why that's relevant but I do have an updated WMP 11 and Emodio still does not work. I guess all I can do now is wait for someone who could help me out. Thanks for replying anyway.

More Questions....

How long have you had your mp3 player ? Is it brand new ? have you been able to load any songs to the Q1 ? when you have time, let me know what you have been able to do with your Q1.

forgive me if these are dumb questions, i probably should have asked these things earlier. maybe you and i can solve your problem.

Well I've had this for months now. So far, I'm able to put songs in this through Winodws Media Player. I was only able to do that after some weeks of self research on what else can I do with my player without Emodio. I was hoping to add my own UCI to at least make my player look better than the default themes. But from what I've heard, they say the only way to add themes on my player is to actually have Emodio installed on my computer.
I was also hoping to find an alternative program to help me put some videos on it. And as usual, I started researching. Most of the programs being suggested to me are those programs that I need to buy. I wanted to use a free one.
This might be a little demanding but, do you know any other programs to help me out with those things I want? I don't care if I have to install one program for each of them as long as I'm able to do it.

Thank you for at least responding. It's better than no one responding, right? I mean I could feel a little ease to know some people are still out there who are willing to help out.

there's only so many forum moderators, i assume and i'm not one of them, but there has been other good people using these forums that have had some of the same problems that i've had in the past, and have been kind enough to assist me, so its only fair that i at least try to help. so i'll continue to help anyone if i can.

good luck !
