Fujifilm S8500

Technically it is not a pro camera but a bridge camera.
It is aimed at the more advanced photographer (someone who wants to be more in -control of the camera).
For the price you will be hard pressed to find something better.

FUJI Known for making FILM not cameras

Like most professions, hobbies, etc there are known BRANDS the real PROS like to use. I read your post and thought FUJI? They make film. Maybe times have changed ... but you would never see a pro in the field using a FUJI camera. Sorry.

You are best to get a NIKON - My opinion ... I LOVE the brand and everything they do! Even wear their EYE/Vision Brand Glasses/Lenses - HI DEF eyeballs! Love them!

Then you have Cannon. They are known for Affordable and all around dependable.

Olympus - Good reputation, good cameras, especially in the affordable end.

Then you have SONY. Same as Olympus - Good Rep, Good Cameras - Good features and options.

All these brands above have "lower end models." = A model that is more affordable for the regular shopper. They all have HIGH END - for pros with special Lenses/Features/We are talking Ks and $$$$$

My FAVE places to BROWSE: Amazon/Google Search - Shopping/NewEgg/Overstock/

Good luck - cameras are fun. Love Whoaaa Dude! Crazy Fun Stuff!!!!
