A650 LCD Remote

by schweidee / November 16, 2008 9:20 AM PST

I think I know the answer but I wanted to ask the experts here.

Just got a great LCD and love the TV but would like to program the cool remote that came with it to control my other devices. I understand from the manual how to program other Samsung devices (Anynet+) but at this time I do not own any other Samsung componets.

Since nothing else is mentioned in the manual I fear I will not be able to program my remote for other devices and will be forced to live with my Directv remote or buy something else.

Any chance someone knows how to program the Samsung remote I already own?

Samsung Remote

At this point, the Samsung remote will only control the television and Anynet+ HDMI-CEC devices with other Samsung products.

However, there are lots of options out there for All-In-Ones, and I'm sure if you ask, there are plenty of people who will share their experiences with what they have.

Thanks for purchasing a Samsung, and if I can help out any other way, please let me know.

Thanks for the reply and confirming what I deduced from the manual. To bad really, the remote that came with the TV is pretty cool but because of the limitation it will probably end up in a box somewhere.

Thanks again for the response.

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
