A way to splice just the audio from video podcasts?

by cyndymcc / January 4, 2007 1:03 AM PST

I have an iPod Shuffle. I subscribe to several video podcasts that I'd be happier just getting the audio of (for example, stand-up comedy podcasts -- who can't envision the smoke filled club, stage and microphone?)

Is there any (simple) way to grab the audio from these downloads so I can dump them on my Shuffle?

Many thanks in advance. ~ Cyndy

you didn't mention what operating system you're using, but

You might be able to do this with Quicktime Pro in the save-as options. I don't have pro, so I'm not sure exactly. Most podcasts are not DRM'ed so it shouldn't be an issue, But I do know that iTunes store DRM will play in Quicktime.

...I have Quicktime Pro as well.

I'll give it a whirl and report back. Thanks for the suggestion!

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
