The only reason would be if you had more component boxes, like cable/sat, game console with component out. John
I've a Sony STR-K1500 A/V receiver and I was wondering if I should connect my DVD player to it. I already have a digital coax from the DVD player to the A/V receiver, but the video connection (component) goes straight from the dvd player to the TV.
Is there any substantial reason why I should spend another $50 on a second set of component cables in order to connect the dvd player to the a/v and the a/v to the TV?? The manual says I should, but is it worth it?
