General discussion

a switch box for one monitor; 2 computers; mouse & keyboard

Apr 5, 2004 5:39AM PDT

Win 2k; pent4; 256 ram; new high resolution monitor = NEC LCD1712 = 17.1.

I recently bought (and returned) a switch box because it would not consistently hold high resolution colors when swithing between 2 computers.

Are there any switch boxes that do ? Or what features should I be looking for ? Naturally, I prefer not rebooting each time I switch computers.
Thanks,
Gene, Florida

I use a Belkin Omnicube 4 system switch box (they also make a 2 system) and it works great, especially with a flat panel monitor. I have used this one for almost 5 years now running at 1280x1024 on a 21" tube and now at 1600x1200 on a 20" flat panel. Never had problems with the colors.
