A story

Well I have to tell you guys, you almost lost me as a client. I bought an Olympus SP-310 two days ago and I have problems installing the Olympus Master software so I call Technical support and Customer Service in three different times.

One guy told me that probably the problem is with my computer. I told him that my computer is working fine and that maybe the CD is defective and I may need a new one then he said send the old one and Olympus will send a replacement in 14 days, not at any moment he offers to help me troubleshot the installation problem.
The second call was the same thing; send a new CD if it does not run in a second PC, no attempt to troubleshot the problem.

Third Guy wins the cake, told me is a OS problem that the Olympus Master software only works in factory install software, that Olympus Master will not be the only software that will fail to run in my computer because, I have upgrade my OS from Windows ME to XP Home some bad files will always bug the computer, so I will never be able to install this software or any other camera manufacturer software, so I am better off calling Microsoft for help.

So I called Microsoft explain the problem and last technician told me, the Microsoft guy told that was a lot of bull and he will help me install the software so after some trail and error he tell me that the auto run part maybe is buggy so I better explorer the CD and find the Setup.exe command and install manually you know what it worked not only did I install the program also register online and upgrade it.
The guy from Microsoft wander why your people did not help me troubleshot the problem.

THANK YOU MICROSOFT SHAME OLYMPUS
