A Squared Anit Malware & Audacity

Aug 7, 2010 10:20PM PDT

I have the brand new version of A2 now called Anti-Malware, everytime I run it it finds Backdoor.Win32.IRCNite.po!A2 I uninstalled the program and re-downloaded Audacity from Cnet re-installed it and it still finds the Backdoor.Win32.IRCNite.po!A2 I have no idea if this is a real threat or just part of the Audacity program that anti-malware is mistaking for a threat. Please help
thank you

Double check it

Try a double check. If that downloaded file is less than 20MB, (the limit on uploads), upload it to http://virusscan.jotti.org/en-gb and let the web site scan it with their main stream anti-virus scanners.

If it comes up clean, then it is likely that A2 is reporting a false positive. If so, let them know so they can issue an updated definitions file.

Thank you it worked and the site you suggested has scanned this file before, 0 of 19 scanners reported malware.
Thank you for this link. I shall now inform the A2 people
