Question

"A REQUIRED PRIVILEGE IS NOT HELD BY CLIENT."

Running Windows 7 Home Premium SP 1 x64 on a newer loaded HP desktop.

When I try to install new software, I get the error message above. I've tried everything I know to try and cannot get past it.

Please help.

Clarification Request
Tell me more about this newly loaded Windows 7
Jun 14, 2016 2:57PM PDT

I'm running into more and more Windows installs that are just bum. The installers seem to have forgotten how to install Windows and what to do after we install the OS.

A few don't know the difference between an admin account and a plain account.

Tell more.

Answer
While this may be an issue for the software.

I would check if the account is an admin one as well as being sure all the usual antivirus suites are not installed.

Tell what app/software or folk can't check if that's an issue.

Stop skirting the issue...
When you purchase a new HP desktop it has an OS already installed .
Really ? What are you trying to do ?
Give us some info to work with like...
Is this some kind of Hacked OS ?
What's the error say ?
Can you do a system restore ?
