A problem when reading blank discs

well i have a Phillips PCRW804, the problem is i wanna make a data disc. i already have Nero and Adaptec but still when i put in a blank CD the driver (EHappy nothing can be read . upon double clicking i get the message
E:\ is not accesible etc.

anyway for Other disks such as my Broadband Installation CD there are no problems.

whats the problem

Since the disk is blank, it would be proper to get an error message if you were to ask a PC to read it.

LOL, you can't argue with that logic. Suleman, use Adaptec to format the disk and transfer your data, then you can double-click to access it.

i open up the Direct CD format Utility and i cant format it. i see the option "Format CD" but i cant click on as the status says "NO CD in Drive)

For Direct CD, use CDRW media.

At some version, CDR support may be dropped.

So far, all seems to be working as it should be.
