A postal race. I have ordered 2 compendious volumes

of the works of the finest guitarist ever to draw breath: Django Reinhardt. I have ordered two of the volumes that comprise the complete recorded works, Saison 1 from Amazon.co.uk and Saison 3 from Amazon.fr.
Britain versus France.
I have already received Saison 2 (1938-1947) in 10 days from the UK. I was amazed by this quickness trans-Atlanitically (my that's a ridiculous neologism, sorry, my fault).
Updates as they occur.

another good idea. They also have these "noodles" that the kids use in pools and at beach now. I bet some of those might work similar to what you suggested too. Problem is many people don't even bother with it, but rebar especially is sooooo dangerous if left sticking up and unprotected. Kids would get impaled playing around construction sites on weekends when nobody was around. Even workers tripped and impaled themselves, and a few gardners have too, also people using cut rebar as tent pegs. I cut the rebar with a metal blade on table saw, but many are cut with bolt cutter which leave the end sharp as a rapier.

Anglicisms for stealing or stolen goods? There are so many, and I'm not coming up with them as I should.

The only thing I can think of is to re-watch Snatch with Brad Pitt as the completely incomprehensible tinker boxer. It's full of slang about all sorts of things.

Apparently this collection was put together for the 100th Anniversary of Django's birth. It includes all sorts of extraneous material from sessions other than his jazz ensembles. Backing tracks for singers and various other sessions he was involved in.
