by csr112180 / December 14, 2005 7:03 PM PST

I have windows xp and haven't had any real problems until last week. When I try to use my internet explorer I get "The page cannot be displayed" for any website I try to go to. I have ran and update norton, and try spybot, microsoft anti spyware, BHODemon 2.0, Ad-Aware SE Personal, black ice and others. I still have the same problem. I can get to the internet if i use netscape 6. Im a newbie so if more info is need please let me know.
I have no problems with any of my other comps and I have cable internet connection.

go to IE internet options, then go to "connection". At the bottom, click on LAN setting and choose "Automatically detect connection". Click OK and IE will check the connection. It usually works for me. It happens to me when I use my notebooks at different locations.
