The down side is that buying a TV has become very technical. A lot has changed in 10 years.
You didn't say how much you want to spend???
Projection TVs are still made, have the best picture quality/price, but are big take up a lot of floor space, but you know this.
Here is link take you time and read, lots of good info, do the HDTV World link. Then repost when your ready to go. John

Hi guys,
After reading several topics and references here and some other sources ,I'm so confuse in details / choices in the HDTV world, and wonder what I should buy to replace my old 10 yrs projection Zenith TV.
I'm a simple,non-technical guy who has normal preferred cable program and connect my DVD player using ''S type'' vedio to TV and normal audio cord to my home theatre set.
I want a new TV,for the next 5 yrs,any good 42-56'' for better and nice picture but don't want to spend more money for unnecessary components which I won't use.
Would someone suggest the right type/spec. which I should look into ?
Thanks for any help/suggestions you may have,
Woodykk
