A new take on the increased divorce rate...

We have great expectations for modern marriage, and that's not a bad thing.

>> One reason marriage is fragile today is that we expect so much more of it than we used to, and many of our expectations are contradictory. Most people recognize that marriage takes sacrifice, hard work and the ability to put up with the bad in your partner as well as the good. But they also expect marriage to be the ultimate source of their happiness and the most fulfilling, passionate relationship in their lives. <<

Another reason is doubtless increased longevity, especially for weomn who no longer routinely die in chidbirth. Relationships grow stale today at a point where one or both spouses would most likely be deceased even 100 years ago, let along 125.

of first marriages are successful instead of the misleading statistic of what portion of ALL marriages Fail.

Its my understanding that more than 76% or more of all first marriages are successful which is far more encouraging than "50% of all marriages fail". And it's more accurate and revealing too. Of course it makes for a more apocalyptic headline and better newspaper sales.

p0rn, though that is often a culprit, so let's not leave any insinuations of what is or isn't on Jack's system. This spyware crapware is getting out of hand. Yes, I'd agree that a good scan might come up with some things that need cleaning.

All that comes up on my computer when I log onto SE Forum is a Cell phone ad and a Vikuiti ad. both almost certainly from somewhere I visited in other browsing.

extra HD activity. Getting rid of all the .temp and .tmp files seems to have fixed the problem -- its running very quietly, now. I think its a good idea to clean those out periodically.
