General discussion

A new low has been reached.

Now the Chicago television media is attacking Joe the Plumber. The poor guy asks a question, it gets picked up by chance by a media camera, and the media now attacks the guy.

The lesson is clear. Don't ask Mr. Obama any embarrassing questions. If you do, the plane load of reporters will descend, and do everything possible to attack you.

This is our new idea of participatory democracy? It is disgraceful.

Obama was attacking him yesterday in a stump speech.

So much for the candidate of "the people."

(NT) What did he say?

I don't have an exact quote...

In reply to: What did he say?

but it was very dismissive. He had scorn in his voice as he said McCain was sticking up for a "plumber", and asked the audience "how many plumbers do you know who make a quarter of a million dollars a year?", basically misrepresenting what Joe does.

I saw it several times on Fox. Wasn't that tape wasn't shown on ABC, NBC or CBS?

I'm sure the video is out there somewhere.

Biden chimed in too, with some class warfare....

Maybe someone else will, but I am not doing any research for you. If you think I'm lying, tough.

He' s trying to run a business...

In reply to: And i'm not sure what Ed is saying.

Not just a "plumber". Obama's confiscatory tax plan would kill that.

Do you see the difference?

Joe the Plumber told Sen. Barack Obama that he might buy a business worth $280,000,

So?

In reply to: He' s trying to run a business...

Obama implied that he was just a plumber. As if that is something to be sniffed at.

Tell Barack.

In reply to: last i read, he's not even a plumber

It's not important. What's important was the disdain in Obama's voice.

embarrass the ONE. Of course he is a plumber. You need to switch your news source.

Good one...plumber...something to be sniffed at.

Plumber passes the smell test.

I wonder if it was a slam at Union Plumbers.

In reply to: Christopher?

McPain? Come on, Jonah. There's no need for that, it's beneath you anyway.

McCain called him a plumber first?

Did you see McCain apologize to JTP last night. He should send the poor guy candy or something, too.
